Avoid Leaking of EVA Film inside Laminated Glass

The principle of making laminated glass is heating and vacuuming (pressing the glass to squeeze out the air).
And when heating ,the EVA Film melt into liquid and it’s melt index is higher than PVB Film. So when vacuuming (the glasses get the pressure), the EVA Film near the edges of the pre-laminated glass will leaking out.
And if the EVA Film is leaking out too much, the edges of the laminated glass may have bubbles around.
There are two ways to solve this problem:
(1) Use the tape to seal the pre-laminated glass, but make sure you make some small holes on the tape to help vacuuming.
(2) If you make small laminated glass, you can put some goods surrounding the pre laminated glass. The surrounding goods should be as high as the pre-laminated glass. Which can make sure that the pressure is even on the pre-laminated glass.

VACUUM TIPS FOR LAMINATING GLASS WITH EVA FILM

Vacuuming is very important for manufacturing laminated glass successfully. If vacuuming is not good, the laminated glass may have bubbles. So there are some tips for vacuuming in the laminating oven.

1-Put some wire net upon the vacuum hole
Sometimes, the silicone upside may seal the vacuum hole and stop the vacuuming, if we put some wire net or fabric upon the vacuum hole, it will avoid the sealing situation.

2-Put some bar around the silicone bag
Sometimes, you can put some bars around the silicone bag to help vacuuming, but note that the height of the bars should be equal to the combination of the laminated glasses you are going to process.

3-Put big glass as template
If you laminate small laminated glasses, you can put a big glass on the silicone bag, then put the small pre-laminated glasses on the big glass, which will help vacuuming and also can avoid the small pre-laminated glass change shapes.
